Pennies for Pets is a great fundraising idea in which elementary schools participate. Distribute empty milk jugs to each classroom. Allow 1 week for kids to collect loose change. On Friday, pick up the (labeled) jugs and take them to the bank to be counted. Keep a tally sheet for all classrooms to see. Post and declare the winning class for each grade level. Award a pizza party to the winners. All children receive a variety of things for participating coloring sheets, buttons, pencils, bookmarkers, etc.
